Just west of Chittenango on Rt 5 is the little village of Mycenae. At the blinking stop light you can see a small abandoned graveyard (hint hint) and a road running next to it. The road runs south off Rt 5. That road is Gulf Road, also known as Witch Road. It's a seasonal access only road, and is the only other road that I know of in CNY that is as steep, twisty and turny as 13 Curves (Cedarvale Road) in Marcellus. One of the legends connected to it is that if you go there at night, you can see bonfires or fairy-fires high up on the wooded hills, and you can here chanting and crazed laughter. If you leave the road to go into the woods to see the fires, they supposedly go out when you get close, leaving you in the dark, never to find your way back to the road.
