Just wanted to add my opinion to the ongoing discussion on whether or not Screamers Hollow is worth the price. I had been dying to visit Screamers Hollow since last Halloween, and unfortunately was never able to make it. Last night, however, it wasn't raining and my husband and I didn't have plans so I begged him to take me. We drove about 40 minutes and when we got there he paid $60+tax so that we could try all the attractions. I had read the reviews on this forum, and decided there were more good reviews than bad, so we'd give it a shot. I went in totally optimistic, and left completely disappointed. The hayride was nothing but a long ride through some fields with some small displays every once in a while and a few people jumping out at you. More often than not you could see the people coming and it was NOT scary. In fact, we laughed through the whole thing! Next we tried the Bogs! What a disappointment! We walked down this confusing path trying to find it, we followed the arrows and walked through a lil shack, where it directed us to go, and some people must have been taking their breaks. One held her mask up to her face and let out a lame "boo". We asked where the bogs began and they said to keep going. The girl we had as our guide looked and sounded bored. At one point we went through some weird shack and no one even came out...what was the point of that? It was so completely worthless. The last thing was the asylum. That was probably the best because that was the only time I felt like the "actors" gave it any effort, and there were enough twists and turns that they could surprise us. After that we left. We didn't bother exploring the grounds, we'd had enough. I looked at my poor husband and apologized profusely for him spending $60 on such a lame attraction. I definitely would NOT recommend this to anyone. $30 a person for 3 attractions was far too much money to spend on something that I consider, personally, to be boring!
