Went to Fright Nights at the Fair last night with a group of 5. We went last year not expecting much and actually had a decent time. Not so this year. The "actors" were basically in street clothes with rubber masks on their heads. Most of their scares were half-hearted at best, prompting one of us to tell them to "put some effort into it!" There are five houses, and it seemed like they had a total of 20 actors combined. The first house on the right when we walked in was almost empty, with the couple actors yelling as soon as the first in our group turned the corner. The rest of us basically just walked through listening to the mild "arrghs" up ahead then walking past a kid in a mask. The hayride was disappointing as well, as riders sit on both sides but the sets and actors only come up to one side. The scariest part is what that place does to your lungs. Due to whatever was coming out of the fog machines, we coughed up black gunk all night. Fun! Overall, this place was pretty terrible. I can't wait for CMC to open this year so Syracuse can have a good haunted house again.

Couldn't agree more. It didn't seem like anyone really enjoyed what what they were doing or even cared if you liked it. Definitely no entusiasm and very lame actors. Extremely disappointing attraction... if we're kind enough to call it that. Especially given the drive we took to get there. The best thing this attraction has to offer is the ease of getting back on a highway to leave.
