Well folks, as you will drive around central new york you will find many different type haunts, and after going to both of these, I would not return a second time as I felt they were not worth the money we paid out!
The price at chengerians-- is 10 bucks for a 15 min ride( if that) which consists of a few scattered actors and none of them knowing or caring what to do. The ride is very short, and with very few small scenes that have no lighting...diret sound... or details. The wagon stops at all 6 scenes and an actor gets on, growls, and gets back off. I know $10.00 isnt alot, but it's enough when you take 4 or 5 people, and the overall ride was not at all entertaining. The inside attraction was way too quiet , with just some actors banging against wood walls as you pass through. Good snacks at their food court... and nice big wagons ( but they are empty)....I guess not much else to add!
Trail of terror in Volney ny, was a huge let down as well. Too much chaos! Too many teens getting dropped off from parents and left off in big groups to just use this place to HANG out. Some are drinking....many smoking.....and god knows what else. The building attraction was just dark and boring..............a few actors running about in it, but overall a big waste of money and my time. This place every year never changes.
The walk in the woods was even worse. I think the old movie themes are over, but this place is full of Freddy and Michael Meyers type actors. One kid had his mask half rolled up and said as my family passed through" im cold-- so just keep movin" ! I was actually grabbed at one stop and being female--it was totally planned( by 2 males) as they both laughed afterwards. Chainsaws were the only startle on this walk , and there were way too many of them. This place is very unprofessional, there's no direction, and the actors just have no care in it at all. Its a hang out for teens and trouble, and is not a family friendly place at all.
