Embarrased I was so badly played for the fool.
We went last weekend and me and 2 friends all got the "spooky special" which just turned out is only the hayride. So we basically paid $18 for a hayride. If I had been on a date with a girl it might have been a nice hayride, but still very far away and wicked expensive. We hung out around the village for a little while but it was kind of boring. They had a "ghost story" area which literally had the wiring for the lights hanging from trees overhead and plugged into a indoor office powerstrip. I set up my garage safer for trick or treaters. smh. Ghost stories? for who, kids? If you let your kids stand under an indoor powerstrip hanging from a tree in drizzling rain, someone should really call cps on you.
The hayride wasn't scary at all, and a lot of the scenes in it looked very home made. We were thinking about doing the maze and the spirits walk but someone we talked to told us they were both awful. We struck up convos with a few different people and it was clear that everyone there was feeling ripped off. What world are they living in that they think they can charge $35 for this place? I can't believe how home made everything looked. I was really looking forward to going, and was duped by someone on here who was obviously FROM there. I do not believe ONE positive review about this place. I am nice person who tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and imho this place is a colossal rip off. The management's bad rep appears to be well deserved with the deceptive pricing and the refusal to refund people after dangerous hayride accidents.
It's too bad too because I was looking forward to it all month. I will not be attending the sterling renaissance fest next summer.
