We went to The Last Ride on the first night of the season that it was open, and wow was it great! I am originally from Buffalo NY, this is my first Halloween in Syracuse NY. We are no strangers to all of the haunts in our area, and I have to say this small-business-haunt is one of the BEST that I have been to.
The staff is so friendly, and they had neat trinkets in the shop out front. We bought some cool spiders on sticks that can be put into potted plants, and they were VERY reasonably priced.
The hayride was a lot of fun for our group of 4 (plus other riders). The owners put time into the scenes (which I will not spoil) and we were even surprised by a very exciting and unusual scene which we have never seen used at any other hayride which we have been to.
The man who waits at the door to let you into the Haunted House was fun, if he reads this I hope he remembers the group with the red balloon! The haunted house was just perfect, you could tell the owners have pride in their design and execution of the haunt. We felt like the sets/scenes were well designed and the house had a great flow to it. It seemed like there was a scare around every corner!
All in all I would totally suggest this haunt to others - and it is well worth the drive and cost. You can't go wrong with the Last Ride.
