I can't say as I have any past experiences of this attraction as this was first year attending. I have read reviews from year past which tear this place apart. My only past experience with them is knowing someone who provided props for them in 2010 and got screwed
Otherwise, I like the atttaction, I like its setting. Being on the ground of the ren fest at night has its own creepiness to it. I went I think on opening night. I enjoyed the hayride as it appeared to have more sets than most hayrides I have been on. Each scene is destined on the ride using an mp3 player which the girl running it can't repeating tracks accidentaly or playing the wrong track altogether. One thing that seemed apparent to me was that they appeared to not have been fully staffed yet. The haunted trail wound its way around the lower end of the festival ground through and around the grounds many buildings.and stages. The was also enjoyable but the grounds were very muddy at the time and a few scareactors didn't do a very good job of making themselves invisable before the scare.
One big drawback I feel is that you are forced to pay for the village to go to any one of the attractions. I don't feel that there is enough going on in the village to make it worth the extra $8.
All in all. I like Screamers Hollow and I feel the haunt still has a lot of untapped potential. If it wasn't 2 hours away, I would try to get involved with the attraction.
