This is another haunt my group and I attended late at night near its closing time. Even still though, Lines were long and even though there were movies playing on a wrinkled screen, more q-line entertainment would have been nice.
The haunted house wasn't bad. The requirement to hold the "rope" so the groups stayed together was different, but as I was in the lead, pulling my group into the scare traps was entertaining.
The big flaw came with the haunted trail. The guide leading several groups of people and giving us commands on where to stop so we didn't miss the scare zones was Very frustrating. Then there was one of my biggest pet peeves, horror movie icons being used to sell the scare. At one point as we approached a Nightmare On Elmstreet scare zone one patron asked how both I and her companion knew the dream song. The effect a horror icon has is wasted on those who don't know who the icon is. One more issue is repetitiveness of scare types. not just what the actors say but the chainsaws.... WAY too many chainsaws. Members of my group were complaining that the could still smell gas on them even after we got back in our caravan.
All of this said, a staff member has heard some of my review and mentioned they were working to correct some things to make the haunts even better. So, even though my rating is a thumbs down, there is a chance things might be better later in the season.
