Haunt: CMC's 7th Annual Haunted House Score: 4 out of 5 skulls!
CMC's Haunted House was great. Aside from the fact that it's priced so fairly at $6.00, it's packed with scares!
I think the biggest strong-point would be LOTS of people. The place was PACKED with monsters and plenty of victims too... Screaming girls getting their throats graphically slit, tied up in a bath tub in creepy scenes and dead kids by a swing-set are just a few of the unexpected highpoints. I didn't expect these kind of depictions in a haunt run as a fund-raiser for a dance school! Great stuff!
Another pleasant surprise was the length. Not only were the buildings laid out to maximize space, the walkthrough takes you outside through a creepy "playground" scene complete with dead kids and a nearby graveyard...
Overall there was a little bit of everything you would expect (like a couple familiar Hollywood slashers and chainsaws), and a whole lot of the unpredictable stuff that makes a Haunt enjoyable.
In closing, CMC's haunt beat out the $25 far away Haunt I went to last week by a landslide. Being a Haunt nerd that notices the little details, I could easily tell alot of heart and soul went into this Haunt. They even had cups of free cider after we exited!
I could write more, but I feel content in saying that all things considered, CMC's Haunt exceeded my expectations in a big way!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I took 9 children to the cmc haunted house on Saturday night for my daughters birthday party. my daughter and her friends had the best time! it was more than worth the money that i spent! the kids were ages 7-12 and they were given the option of having a " no scare" some of them took that option and loved it! at the end of the experience, we were given cider and baked goods! we stood around the fire and the kids all talked about they favorite parts! my husband and I did the full scare and let me tell you i was scared! i could not believe all the time and effort that went into this event by the kids and their parents!
while standing by the fire, we were greeted by a volunteer who asked us if they enjoyed their time. the volunteer explained to us that this was a fund raising event to help support the students love of dance and their competitions. she also told me that they were having a haloween party on saturday for children ages 2-12. if the haunted house was that good, i am going to take all my kids to their party on saturday.
I have to say that this is one of the best kept local secrets! ( sorry, never knew that it had been going on for 6 years) this event i would recommend for persons 7-107.
in closing, good luck to all the students there who dance and all of you did an amazing job!
i give this event a 10 out of 10

Just like last year, it was great. Loved the Circus theme they did this year, completely original, and for $7 plus free refreshments you can't beat it. Then you can go back through for $2
I went to Fright Nights, and this is much better. Overheard other people say better than the one in Utica. I'm going to go again this weekend.

The scenery is Great! Very detailed-SCARE-FACTOR-HIGH. Lots and Lots of live actors. One actually spued on me I think!! Very Graffic, People had brought little kids with them and they came out after they walked in! lol There was a line when we pulled up but it did not take long to get in. One of my favs - its never the same but always a good scare.

I was the very last group to go in on the last night. We called to make sure they were still open and got there even a little after they closed but they said they would stay open just so we could go through, and I have to say for it was the best haunted house in the area, it was amazing compared to other haunted houses in the area, it was long it went from inside to then outside then you were back inside again
