I am constantly baffled as to why some choose to go to events such as this only to be a 'doubting Thomas' or cynical right from the start. I've been on the inside and outside of a haunt and for the life of me I cannot understand why or how someone can actually show up at the gate negative, bitter and just plain b*tchy. Why go?
It's as though you are there to prove that it's not scary. Does that make sense? It's entertainment. Of course everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion. But dang-lighten up. It's entertainment. Although I haven't been to all haunts in CNY, I can safely say that Screamers Hollow is pretty unique. The price tag seems high-especially for a larger family. But, when you add up all that there is to see and do, it isn't that bad. For $30 you get a hayride, maze and trail. PLUS Live music and stage shows that aren't your run of the mill high school skits-they seemed well produced and cast with experienced acting talent. Quality food. The setting was amazing. If you break it down-it's not overpriced at all. And, you don't have to necessarily do all 3 attractions. $17.50 gets you all of the entertainment in the village and the hayride. I would definitely suggest doing more than the hayride though as i feel that they all were good. No matter where you go, whether it's the show itself, the venue, the price, etc. there is always going to be something that you think could be better. This is the 2nd year at the festival grounds for a Halloween event. Last year was good but this year is definitely an improvement without a doubt. Constructive criticism. If you are hell bent on being disappointed, stay home. Prime time TV can do it for you.
